A New Year's Message For 2010 | pdvossen on Xanga

A New Year's Message For 2010 | pdvossen on Xanga

This message is one for the heart for me. As I know
how easy it is to forget what God has done in our lives
when things are tough, or we just haven't taken enough
time to pray and think upon the goodness of the Lord.

Godly Wisdom and Understanding. Get It!

Faith's Little Word For Today

Exodus 31:1-5
1 AND THE Lord said to Moses, 2 See, I have called by name Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 3 And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and ability, in understanding and intelligence, and in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship, 4 To devise skillful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze, 5 And in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of craftsmanship.

We need to get a hold of the wisdom and intelligence God can give. Its the kind of
wisdom that will give us skills to accomplish great things.

Notice how the Word says that the " Spirit of God " filled Bezalel with wisdom and
understanding. God can anoint you and enhance God given gifts within you to accomplish
great things. You just have to remember He is the source and to follow the Spirit of
God's channel for growth and success. Then God can use you in a special way through
the gifts He has granted you in this life.

My Prayer:
Lord, touch me to today and give me the wisdom and understanding I need to use the
gifts you've granted me for your Glory, in your precious name, Amen.

Ephesians 4:31

A very good word on Temper or Self Control. That is our subject on the CGMF Prayerline for December 22nd.

Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind).

New outlines I uploaded from Rev. Derek Prince's studies. An excellent
man of God and these simple but profound outlines will help you in
your studies of God's Word.

American Grace - the book

American Grace - the book

An excellent book which my sister sent me for my birthday.
I have only read three chapters so far, but there is a lot in
this book. Facts, details, charts and well just a lot of really
good information. Any minister or pastor especially should
have this book.

Really well researched it seems loaded with understanding.
I truly am wowed by it a bit. It really sets the table for today's
politics and the clash we are having, and are going to see in even
a greater measure in the future it seems.
It also sees the good and bad in various faiths as they
have reached out to society and made their claims in our nation.

New CGMF Bible Series, Book of Jude | pdvossen on Xanga

New CGMF Bible Series, Book of Jude | pdvossen on Xanga

Just had a lot of fun introducing the Book of Jude. Thought
I'd get farther than one verse, but you'd be surprised what
nuggets of truth you can find in one verse.

Praise Him!

Psalm 135:3

3 Praise the lord, for the lord is good; sing praise to his name, for that is pleasant.

Let us give thanks to the Lord and never forget to praise His name.

Sometimes I know we sometimes don't feel like praising Him or feel down and out. However, I've found if we can praise Him and worship Him. Then begin to speak positive words instead of negative ones. Things will start to become brighter and your disposition will change for the better. Feed on whatosever things are pure, holy, honest, sincere and start expecting the best rather than the worse. You will see positive results and your days will be filled with more joy and happiness.

I don't like using this blog for any political items if I can help

CLI Companion Makes It Easier To Use The Terminal

An excellent addition for linux users. I hope I can find it in an
RPM that might work with Mandriva. Could speed up use
when working with terminal significantly for a lot of users.

Fox News edits clip to make it seem like Obama can't lower taxes | Video Cafe

Fox News edits clip to make it seem like Obama can't lower taxes | Video Cafe

What do you think of when you think of Fox News Channel?
The skies the limit! However, since the Obama administration
they have so come out of the closet its not even funny.
They aren't just conservative or Republican, they are closer
to extreme Libertarian, and anything is ok as long as it
paints the President or the Democrats in a bad light.

This editing of this piece was horrid. Fox should have the
decency to change their name to the Fox Propaganda Channel,
or Fox Conservatives Only Channel, or Pravda. Yep, like the
old Soviet propaganda channel during the cold war. Its becoming
a perfect parallel. Gee where's the FCC when you need them.

How to Create Custom Email Templates in KMail - Make Tech Easier

Linux based KDE desktop users might like this little tidbit. I have replaced my usual diet
of Mozilla Thunderbird with Kmail as my email client. It seems refreshingly good. This
" how to " I found helpful to tweak it a bit.

Keep Omaha in prayer!!! Especially the open doors for training
and equipping ministers of the gospel. We have been asked to
teach a nine week series of lessons on the TIMELINE of the
Scriptures at St. Vincent's. It should be a lot of fun.

US Banks Are Heavily Exposed to Europe Debt Woes: Bove - CNBC

US Banks Are Heavily Exposed to Europe Debt Woes: Bove - CNBC

The reason Wall Street is so nervous about the Greeks financial
woes, is that we are so interlinked. How this Grecian problem is
resolved will help to calm things, even if Spain has some of
the same austerity measures enacted. For they are considered
next in line to have to deal with Euro and debt issues.

Two very good potential players. I see Thigpen as multitalented and very
useful. Especially if later you bring in a QB like Harrel. Thigpen and he
could remind us of a a Kelly and Thomas. Good work
Riders on giving them a chance at camp.

Checking out Skype for Linux and it seems tor run pretty
flawlessly. A relative recommended it, and it has worked
quite well with my equipment.

You can contact Skype members by searching for your
friend or relative. That is a free service, and the quality
of voice transmission is good. I still have some tweaking
with my video, but it has been very good to date.

For a small subscription fee you can call landline or
mobile phones in the US or Canada. It is 2.95 with three
months free voicemail. For 13 dollars you can even get
your own dedicated phone number. The only extra charge
I have received is .60 on one cell or mobile phone number,
which I'm checking into. For I've called the number before
and not been charged.

Give the service a shot. I think you might like it.
Have a great day, can't wait for the warm weather.

A Great New Ministry Tool.

PULPITCALLS.COM IS A GREAT SOURCE

FOR THE CHURCH.

I have just started setting up PulpitCalls

for prayer and church work, and it is starting

to look like it is going to be a invaluable tool

to touch the nations and minister locally

in the church. You should check out the

ministry. I think it would be of great benefit to many

churches and ministries trying to minister God's

Love to a Needy world.

May God bless you this day. Keep this

ministry in prayer as we are wanting

to expand quite a bit and need resources

and the ability to do so.

My Thoughts on an Article in " Miracles " magazine.

I enjoyed thoroughly today an article from a sermon preached by

Oral Roberts many years ago called, " It's Time To Come Home ".

It was a sermon on the story of the Prodigal Son found in

Luke 15. In that story it reminds us of how fortunate we are

that our Heavenly Father has that everlasting love that always is

extended toward us. Patiently waiting for us to realize our

place in Him, despite our failures and find ourselves back

in the Father's arms.

What an awesome thing it would be today, if God's creation

and believer's in Christ could accept this fact. Acknowledging

the Love of God and understanding that despite their wasting

away precious gifts or even future graces. None of it will keep Him

from bridging the gap of our sin with His Love, allowing us to run

right into the arms of the Father. Receiving His Royal Robe

( His Possession ), Putting on that Family Ring ( Rightful

Place of Sonship ) upon our finger and finally finding

that Abundant Love and Life that He desires for His Beloved.

How do I know all this? Because the Cross made up the

difference for us. Amen! He bridged the gap with His

precious atoning blood, so that you and I could return

to the " Father's House " restored and blest. Won't you

give Him a chance to restore you into that position

of Grace today and receive the " Father's Love ".

Favre And Vikings Hit Stride.

Was happy to see the Vikings win today. I'm a Bears

fan, but given the fact we were not near the playoff

picture. I am glad that the division champions did well.

I was hoping for Warner and Favre to face off off in

the finals, but you don't always get your dream

matchups.
